Homestay

Stamford Academy works closely with local hosts to provide a high standard of accommodation for its students.  Homestay accommodation is perfect for those looking to experience a taste of everyday life in Stamford.

All of our homestay accommodation has been thoroughly checked by a member of our management team, using a strict set of criteria which takes into account location, how clean the accommodation is, furniture, equipment, hospitality, food and previous student feedback.  Ultimately, though, we only select hosts who we would feel comfortable staying with ourselves.

We ensure that all of our homestay accommodation is within 1.6 miles miles or a 25 minute walk of the school.  All homestay accommodation operates on a half-board basis, with hosts providing breakfast and an evening meal.  Weekly laundry, bed sheets and towels are included and you will receive your own key to come and go as you please.

It is important to keep in mind, that ‘homestay’ means students will be staying in their host’s home, and will therefore be expected to respect certain rules and schedules, particularly with regard to mealtimes.
